Backend interface denial via malformed bookmark data
Published Oct 28, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Denial of service in affected TYPO3 CMS releases allows remote authenticated users to block access to the backend interface. The Bookmark Toolbar in ext:backend accepts syntactically invalid saved bookmark data without sufficient validation, producing a general error state when the interface processes it. An administrator-level backend account is required, and the reported consequence is loss of backend-interface access rather than a host-wide crash.
