Keycloak root credential disclosure via deployment output
Published May 5, 2024 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Information exposure in OpenTeams Nebari 2024.4.1 and earlier allows attackers to obtain the temporary Keycloak root password. During deployment, deploy_configuration reads initial_root_password from the security configuration and prints it with the root username to standard output. Access to captured deployment output exposes Keycloak root administration while the credential remains valid.
