Guest-to-administrator actions via client-side control bypass
Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Authorization bypass in Mavenir SCE Application Provisioning Portal PORTAL-LBS-R_1_0_24_0 allows remote authenticated users to add users. The portal relies on client-side access controls to restrict the add-user function but fails to enforce the guest role's restriction when the function is requested. A valid guest account and network access to the portal are required; successful use exposes administrative user-management actions.
