Heap-based buffer overflow in QEMU before 9.0.0 allows guest OS users to crash the host QEMU process through crafted SDHCI writes. While Command Inhibit is set, SDHCI emulation wrongly updates TRNMOD, desynchronizes controller state, enables DMA, and writes past the 512-byte fifo_buffer in sdhci_write_dataport. Exploitation requires control of a guest configured with the emulated SDHCI controller and interrupts only that host QEMU process.
