Stored script execution via unsanitized admin settings
Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in TT Custom Post Type Creator 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin admin settings. The settings path stores input without sufficient sanitization and later renders it without output escaping on an injected page. Administrator-level access is required, and exploitation is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; the script runs when another user opens the affected page.
