Authenticated script execution via unsanitized date parameters
Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Prison Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a user's browser. The apply_leave.php page directly echoes the txtstart_date and txtend_date POST values into HTML without validation or output encoding. An authenticated session and user interaction are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled JavaScript in the application origin without interrupting service.
