Database query execution via unescaped leave identifier
Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Prison Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute database queries via an id parameter. The delete_leave.php endpoint copies the GET id value directly into a quoted DELETE statement for tblleave without filtering or a prepared statement. A valid session is required; the public proof of concept demonstrates time-based query execution and disclosure of the database account identity.
