CVE-2024-34350Network attack vector

Response queue poisoning via request misinterpretation

Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

HTTP request smuggling in Vercel Next.js 13.4.0 through 13.5.0 allows remote attackers to poison response queues via crafted requests. Request handling for rewritten routes interprets one crafted HTTP message both as a single request and as two requests, desynchronizing queued responses. Exploitation requires an affected route that uses rewrites; the resulting queue mismatch can cause later users to receive misassociated responses.
