Code execution via unsanitized configuration path
Published May 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Path traversal in LoLLMs WebUI before 9.5 allows local users to alter application configuration and execute code via crafted JSON. The save_settings endpoint passes the config parameter to apply_settings without sufficient path sanitization, permitting configuration paths to escape their intended location. The attack requires local access to the unauthenticated web service and executes code with the application's host privileges.
