CVE-2024-34347Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via exposed vm object reference

Published May 8, 2024 · Updated Jun 10, 2025

Remote code execution in Hoppscotch CLI before 0.8.0 allows attackers to run system commands through a malicious collection file. The pre-request node-vm context assigns the externally created pw object to untrusted JavaScript, which can traverse its constructor and load child_process. Exploitation requires a user to download and run the collection with the CLI; Hoppscotch Web and Desktop are unaffected.
