CVE-2024-34344Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via unnormalized component path

Published Aug 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024

Code injection in Nuxt 3.4.0 through 3.12.3 allows remote attackers to execute commands when a local test server handles a crafted request. NuxtTestComponentWrapper validates a normalized path but passes the original path parameter to import(), allowing a data URI to load JavaScript server-side. Exploitation requires test mode and a user who visits a malicious web page while the local test server is running.
