Browser script execution via unencoded username input
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Reflected XSS in ORDAT FOSS-Online before 2.24.01 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via the login page. The /oronline/st/Anmelden.jsp page inserts the inputUser query value into the username field without encoding or filtering it, so injected markup becomes executable script. No authentication is required, but a victim must open a crafted URL; execution occurs in the vulnerable site's browser context and can expose or alter data accessible to that session.
