Authenticated script execution via reflected id parameter
Published Apr 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Reflected XSS in SourceCodester Online Courseware 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through addq.php's id parameter. The page inserts the query value into its HTML response without neutralizing tag-breaking input, causing a crafted value to become executable markup. Exploitation requires a logged-in teacher to open the crafted URL; the script then runs in that user's application origin and can alter content or act through the session.
