Unauthenticated device control via unpaired BLE connections
Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026
Missing authentication in EQ-3 Eqiva CC-RT-BLE firmware 1.46 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to control the thermostat. The BLE interface accepts incoming connections without checking that pairing has occurred, then exposes all device functions. An attacker within Bluetooth range can change configuration and operating parameters without credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
