Authenticated arbitrary file read via unrestricted path
Published May 10, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Path traversal in DedeCMS 5.7.114 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files via makehtml_js_action.php. The endpoint accepts a caller-specified filesystem path and reads it without restricting resolution to an intended directory. Valid DedeCMS credentials are required, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the web-server process.
