Arbitrary SQL execution via country search parameter
Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Human Resource Management System 1.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary SQL through a country search. The country.php endpoint uses the searccountry value without effective SQL neutralization, so paired true and false conditions directly control whether rows are returned. CISA assesses local, unauthenticated access; the public demonstration confirms query-result manipulation, while database modification or service interruption is not demonstrated.
