Memory corruption via unchecked comment copy
Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK CP450 4.1.0cu.747_B20191224 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted request. SetPortForwardRules passes the unchecked comment parameter from a POST to strcpy, which writes beyond the destination stack buffer. The endpoint requires no prior privileges or user interaction, while public evidence does not demonstrate code execution or persistent device failure.
