Arbitrary command execution via webWlanIdx injection
Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Command injection in TOTOLINK CP450 4.1.0cu.747_B20191224 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through webWlanIdx. The setWebWlanIdx function incorporates the webWlanIdx value into a shell command without neutralizing metacharacters, so a crafted request appends attacker-chosen commands. No privileges or user interaction are required, but access is limited to an adjacent network; exploitation permits arbitrary device-state changes.
