CVE-2024-34205Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Command execution via unchecked firmware URL

Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

OS command injection in TOTOLINK CP450 4.1.0cu.747_B20191224 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The cloud-update response parser writes its url field to /var/cloudupg.ini, and download_firmware passes that value unchecked to system(). Exploitation requires redirecting update.carystudio.com to an attacker-controlled server and rebooting the device, after which injected commands run on the appliance.
