CVE-2024-34195Public exploit

Command execution via unbounded SSID copy

Published Aug 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

Stack buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A3002R firmware 1.1.1-B20200824 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted SSID. The boa formWlEncrypt path passes wlan_ssid to strcpy without a backend length check, overflowing a 44-byte stack buffer. Exploitation requires access to the router's HTTP service and setting wlan_idx to at least 5 through formWlanRedirect; failure can interrupt the boa service instead.
