Application crash via NULL pointer dereference
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2024
NULL pointer dereference in Adobe Illustrator 2024 28.5 and 2023 27.9.4 and earlier allows attackers to crash it via a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser or the malformed file structure that produces the NULL pointer dereference. A victim must open the file, and the bounded consequence is an Illustrator process crash that interrupts only the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=27.9.4
