Application crash via malicious-file null dereference
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2024
NULL pointer dereference in Adobe Illustrator 28.5, 27.9.4 and earlier allows attackers to crash the application via a malicious file. The affected parsing component and file format are undisclosed; malformed file processing reaches a null pointer and terminates the process. A victim must open the attacker-supplied file, and the documented consequence is limited to interruption of the local application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
