Code execution via malicious-file out-of-bounds write
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Illustrator 2024 28.5 and earlier and 2023 27.9.4 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the affected file parser or the exact operation that writes beyond its allocated memory boundary. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file, and successful code execution runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
