Unauthorized quote deletion via unchecked order ownership
Published Jun 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Adobe Commerce 2.4.7 allows remote attackers to erase another customer’s quote details through the REST API. The CartRepository save path accepts quote.orig_order_id from REST request data without verifying that the referenced order belongs to the quote customer. No credentials or user interaction are required; a crafted request alters another customer’s quote but does not disclose data or interrupt service.
