Code execution via unchecked Annotation object use
Published May 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat and Reader allows remote attackers to execute code by opening a malicious PDF or webpage. Annotation handling performs operations on an object without first validating that the object still exists, allowing reuse of freed memory. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs code in the current user's process; affected releases include 24.002.20736 and earlier and 20.005.30574 and earlier.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
