Account takeover via unrestricted Twig file reads
Published May 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Arbitrary file read in GetGrav Grav before 1.7.46 allows remote authenticated users with page-edit privileges to read server files. The page renderer accepts the read_file Twig function in authored page templates, passing attacker-chosen paths to server-side file reads. Page-edit access is required; exposed account YAML can disclose password hashes, two-factor secrets, and reset tokens that enable account takeover.
