Service interruption via prototype property lookup
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Denial of service in Xiboon Kurwov 3.1.0 through 3.2.4 allows local users to interrupt Markov-chain generation via crafted dataset strings. MarkovData.getNext removes a trailing character before indexing finalData, so a forbidden name followed by a space resolves an inherited prototype function and then calls endsWith on undefined. Access to a consuming application's dataset is sufficient; the crafted entry stops output generation without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
