Authenticated chat-history disclosure via exposed history path
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Incorrect authorization in GaiZhenbiao ChuanhuChatGPT before 20240919 allows remote authenticated users to read other users’ chat histories. The launch configuration exposes the entire history directory through Gradio allowed_paths, so a signed-in user can request another account's stored JSON or Markdown file by path. Authentication and knowledge or discovery of another history filename are required; the consequence is cross-user disclosure only.
