Admin preset manipulation via ignored CSRF check
Published May 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in affected Moodle LMS releases allows remote attackers to trigger preset actions through an administrator. The affected delete, export-download, and rollback handlers called confirm_sesskey(), ignored its false return, and continued the requested operation. Exploitation requires remote attackers to induce a logged-in administrator to send the forged request; it then runs with that administrator’s preset-management authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
