Stored XSS in Moodle LMS before 4.1.10, 4.2.0 through 4.2.6, and 4.3.0 through 4.3.3 allows remote attackers to execute script. The MathJax loader filter() method passed angle brackets inside curly-brace equation wrappers through without converting them to HTML entities. Execution requires a user to open the equation editor for another user's crafted equation, limiting the consequence to script running in that user's browser context.
