Session detail theft via unneutralized view parameter
Published Aug 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
Reflected XSS in Janobe School Event Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to obtain session details through a crafted URL. The /candidate/index.php endpoint processes the view parameter without neutralizing script content before placing it in the returned page. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted URL, causing injected script to run in that browser session and expose its session details.
