Session cookie disclosure via reflected View parameter
Published Aug 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Reflected XSS in Janobe School Attendance Monitoring System and School Event Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to steal session cookies. The /course/index.php endpoint places the crafted View parameter into the generated page without adequate neutralization, causing script execution in the victim's browser. Exploitation requires the victim to open an attacker-crafted URL; the script can disclose the victim's session cookie and act within that browser session.
