Firewall reboot via malicious DNS packet

Denial of service in PAN-OS DNS Security allows remote attackers to reboot a firewall by sending a malicious packet through its data plane. Palo Alto Networks has not disclosed the packet structure or the exact exceptional condition that DNS Security mishandles. Exposure requires a DNS Security license and enabled DNS Security logging; repeated packets force maintenance mode and leave the firewall offline.
