Unauthenticated administrator credential theft via FTP log poisoning
Published Aug 2, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stored XSS in Ewon Cosy+ firmware 21.x before 21.2s10 and 22.x before 22.1s3 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. An FTP authentication username is written to a log without input sanitization, and the web interface later renders the injected HTML or JavaScript. No FTP authentication is required, but an administrator must display the poisoned log; the script can read the unprotected credentials cookie and disclose plaintext administrative credentials.
