CVE-2024-33892Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Credential disclosure via Base64 session cookie

Published Aug 2, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Cleartext credential storage in Ewon Cosy+ firmware 21.x before 21.2s10 and 22.x before 22.1s3 allows remote attackers to read credentials. The web interface stores Base64-encoded credentials for the current session in an unprotected cookie named credentials. Exploitation requires a current web session and a way to read its cookie, such as the separately tracked stored XSS, exposing plaintext administrative credentials.
