Unauthenticated NTLMv2 hash disclosure via UNC path
Published Jun 24, 2024 · Updated Sep 15, 2024
Information disclosure in VirtoSoftware Virto Bulk File Download 5.5.44 allows remote attackers to obtain an NTLMv2 hash. The isCompleted method in Virto.SharePoint.FileDownloader/Api/Download.ashx accepts a UNC share pathname in the path parameter and causes the SharePoint host to authenticate to an attacker-controlled share. No authentication or user interaction is required; the direct effect is credential-material disclosure, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
