Authenticated user impersonation via undisclosed gateway authorization flaw
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Incorrect authorization in PAN-OS and Prisma Access allows remote authenticated users to send packets as another user through GlobalProtect. The flaw is in GlobalProtect Gateway handling of authenticated SSL VPN sessions, but Palo Alto Networks has not disclosed the faulty authorization operation. Exposure requires SSL VPN fallback or SSL-only tunneling; transmitted packets can reach internal assets, but responses cannot be received.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
