Sensitive information disclosure via weak device certificate
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Inadequate encryption strength in PAN-OS Panorama allows man-in-the-middle attackers to expose sensitive management traffic. The Panorama-to-firewall channel relies on a device certificate with insufficient bit strength, so captured ciphertext can be decrypted with sufficient computing resources. The attacker must occupy the network path between Panorama and a managed firewall; the reported consequence is limited to confidential data exposure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
