Cross-user script execution via unescaped mock response
Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in YApi 1.10.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user’s browser via a crafted mock response. The Advanced Expectation - Response module stores the body field without filtering or escaping and serves it from the YApi origin. An attacker must register, create a project and interface, and persuade another user to visit the mock URL; the script then acts in that user’s YApi session.
