Improper group handling in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS before 10.1.11, 10.2.5, and 11.0.3 allows remote attackers to alter access via CIE agent data. Palo Alto Networks has not disclosed which validation or authorization step in CIE agent data processing permits unauthorized User-ID group changes. Exposure requires CIE to be enabled; altered group membership can cause Security Policy rules to inappropriately permit or deny access to network resources.
