CVE-2024-3382Network attack vector

Firewall traffic interruption via SSL proxy memory leak

Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated May 13, 2026

Memory leak in PAN-OS 10.2, 11.0, and 11.1 allows remote attackers to stop PA-5400 Series firewalls from processing traffic. The SSL Forward Proxy packet-processing path leaks memory while handling a burst of crafted packets until traffic-processing resources are exhausted. Exposure requires SSL Forward Proxy to be enabled on a PA-5400 Series appliance; the reported consequence is a traffic-processing halt, not data access or modification.
