Stored XSS via unescaped NTP server value
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Netis Systems Co., Ltd. MEX605 2.00.06 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts via a crafted NTP server value. The submitNTP path sends an unfiltered server value to the system timeserver configuration, and getTimeZone later passes the stored value to handleTable for unsafe HTML rendering. Low-privilege access is required to save the value, and script execution occurs when a user opens the Time Settings page, exposing data available to that router-management session.
