CVE-2024-33781Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Party-process crash via unchecked message length

Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

Stack buffer overflow in MP-SPDZ 0.3.8 allows remote attackers to crash a party process by sending a crafted protocol message. During base oblivious-transfer setup, octetStream::get_bytes uses memcpy with a peer-controlled length without validating the destination buffer capacity. The flaw is reachable by an unauthenticated peer and aborts the affected party process, with no reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
