Authenticated denial of service via unchecked webpage copy
Published May 10, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Buffer overflow in /bin/boa in D-Link DIR-619L Rev.B 2.06B1 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via webpage. The formWlanSetup_Wizard handler reads the webpage parameter with websGetVar and copies it through a global buffer into local variable v16 with unbounded strcpy calls. Access to the authenticated web-management interface is required, and an overlong value crashes the router and interrupts network service.
