CVE-2024-33772Public exploit

Authenticated router crash via unbounded curTime formatting

Published May 10, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in /bin/boa on D-Link DIR-619L Rev.B 2.06B1 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router. The formTcpipSetup handler reads curTime with websGetVar and formats it into stack storage with sprintf without restricting its length. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access and a valid login; the demonstrated consequence is a router crash that interrupts service.
