CVE-2024-33768Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Process crash via invalid blend memory read

Published May 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Memory access violation in LunaSVG 2.3.9 allows remote attackers to crash SVG-rendering processes via a crafted SVG document. While filling a shape, composition_solid_source_over reads an invalid memory address during color blending and terminates under AddressSanitizer. Exposure requires an application or the optional svg2png converter to render attacker-controlled SVG content; successful triggering interrupts that rendering process.
