Authenticated code execution via unfiltered plugin ZIP extraction
Published May 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in emlog Pro 2.3.0 and 2.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through plugin upload. The plugin installer in admin/views/plugin.php extracts uploaded ZIP content without filtering or analyzing embedded files, placing PHP beneath the web root. Administrative plugin access is required; a matching folder and PHP filename yields a remotely reachable server-side script.
