Arbitrary file deletion in Veritas NetBackup before 10.4 allows local users to delete protected files through the Multi-Threaded Agent. Veritas does not disclose the exact deletion primitive; its CWE mapping and mitigation identify the C:\ProgramData\boost_interprocess search-path element as the exposed locus. Local access to that directory is required, and exploitation can remove protected files without a reported path to read their contents.
