MQ administration manipulation via process-list argument injection
Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Argument injection in the websphere_mq agent plugin in Checkmk allows local users to alter a runmqsc invocation through crafted process command lines. The plugin parses ps output to choose a runmqsc argument without restricting attacker-controlled command-line text. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and the deprecated plugin; the documented effect is manipulation of one MQ administration argument.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
