Stored XSS via unsanitized popup settings
Published Apr 26, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in PopupAlly 2.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in a visitor's browser. The plugin stores popup HTML from its settings and, when DISALLOW_UNFILTERED_HTML is enabled, fails to remove script content before inserting it into visitor-facing pages. Administrator access is required to save the payload, and execution requires a visitor to open a page displaying the configured popup.
